The Open book exhibition has finished in the St. Ottilien Archabbey in Bavaria. It was the second exhibition run under the project of the Russian seasons. The main idea of this series of shows is to introduce European audience to the legacy of Russian religious art. The Open Book show in Bavaria featured the works mostly drawn from the private collections. Among them works by Dimitri Plavinskiy, Gely Korzhev, Mikhail Svartzman were presented. Exposition encompassed art objects that were done in different medium, including fragile sculptures and mosaics, which posed some challenges for our transportation and installation team. We did our best while packing and installing these delicate pieces, taking into account all the handling precaution to preserve them undamaged.
